Shawnee Hills Bible Center

Re-engaging a Biblical Worldview

At this early juncture of the 21st Century, the Church finds itself situated in a culture that is uninterested in the attitudes and values taught in Scripture.  biblical Christianity, once the standard for ethical values and practice, has increasingly given way to forms of thinking that are far from God's Word.  Consumerism has created cultural Christians who are greatly influenced by the world's thinking, robbing the Church of vital spiritual dynamics.  Thus, we have seen the need to initiate a ministry that will aggressively train God's people to re-engage culture with a biblical worldview.

Our Purpose

We will assist disciples of Jesus Christ in acquiring biblical knowledge and application skills that will promote spiritual growth and development.  Intentionally, this will produce a passion in the heart for service to God as He works through the Church to change the world.

Our Objectives

  • Cause a deepened love for and commitment to the authority of the Word of God and to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Impart knowledge of the Bible, the Christian faith, and our culture.
  • Train in habits that are consistent with mature Christian character.
  • Integrate God's Word into lifestyle and improve abilities to think biblically.
