This Sunday

The prophet Habakkuk complained to God about using the Chaldeans or Babylonians to judge Judah, the southern kingdom, for its evil and injustice (Habakkuk 1:5-11), asserting that this was inconsistent with His own character (1:12-2:1). Although, it was not contrary to the character of God to do this, He did declare that Babylon would be judged and punished in the same way they punished Judah. God’s ways are not our ways; they are mysterious and sometimes misunderstood. This week's message from Habakkuk 2:2-20 will focus on the five woes pronounced by God on the Chaldeans for their wickedness and violence. God takes sin seriously and will judge it—in the lives of believers and non-believers alike.
