The Drive-Thru Prayer ministry is scheduled to resume on Monday, May 7 from 12:30-3:00.

This Sunday

Nobody likes a phony, especially God.  Jesus and the Pharisees were at odds during His public ministry because He was real and they were not.  He used them as an example of what not to be like.  In Matthew 6:1-18, Jesus addresses three acts of Jewish piety that were to be practiced righteously, not unrighteously.  Almsgiving, prayer, and fasting were the primary spiritual disciplines in Jesus’ day, but the religious leaders practiced them unrighteously.  This Sunday, we will consider true, charitable giving as taught by Jesus in Matthew 6:1-4.  Why do you do kind deeds or acts of kindness and charitable giving?  What’s your motive?  Jesus goes right for the heart in why we give—to be seen of people or God?
