StaffJim Riggle - Senior Pastor
In September of 1999, Shawnee Hills was blessed with the
opportunity to call as their senior pastor Jim Riggle and his wife Becky.
The Church has continued to grow and flourish under their ministry.
God has given Pastor Jim a passion for people and has allowed him to use
this gift in bringing others to the Lord. Pastor Jim, Becky and their
three children continue to pray that God would make this Church their only
ministry before going home. They truly have become an essential part
of the family of God at Shawnee Hills. Pastor Jim also has a passion
for golf, racquetball, gardening, walks with his family and an occasional
game of Scrabble.
Mark McFadden - Pastor of Spiritual
Formation
It is a privilege to serve our Lord Jesus Christ at
Shawnee Hills! My area of ministry is education - helping people know
God through His Word and to become rightly related to the Son of God, Jesus
Christ. That's what spiritual formation means.
After working many years in business, I felt that God was calling me to the
ministry within the Church. We have been at Shawnee Hills since 2001.
My family and I enjoy the outdoors, especially the beach and riding
bicycles. We also have fun with both board and computer games.
Chris (my wife) and I are especially fond of coffee (see Pastor Mark's
Links). As we continue to serve together at Shawnee Hills, we desire
to please God through continued obedience to His Word. There is no
greater joy in life.
Josh Yoder - Pastor of Teen Ministries
God has
blessed my entire family “exceedingly abundantly beyond all we could ask or
think” by placing us in ministry at Shawnee Hills Baptist Church! God is
alive and very active in our lives and we count it a joy, a privilege and an
honor to be used by Him to challenge our teenagers to give their hearts
wholly to God.
My
family and I came to Shawnee Hills in June of 2003 from Scioto Hills Camp &
Retreat Center. After serving as a program developer, we sensed God’s
calling into the local church. My wife, Jessica, is the most incredible
partner that I could have ever asked for and is unbelievably vital to our
ministry here! Her heart for our Savior challenges me daily and I cannot
thank God enough for her!
We have
been blessed with three incredible children: our daughter, Anna, and our two
boys, Ethan and Gavin. Our prayer is that God will continue to show Himself
to us and continually change us into the kinds of people He wants us to be.
Emily Franscisco - Administrative
Assistant
Emily Francisco has been a part of Shawnee Hills' office
ministry since the late 70's when she became part a part time secretary and
worked in that capacity for about 3 years. After a long hiatus she
returned in 1991 to become full time secretary. With the changes in
administration came learning and through the years Emily has learned to
adapt to many different personalities, both a challenge and a growing
experience. The ministry has grown by leaps and bounds and in 2001 it
became necessary to hire on another full time secretary and Emily was
promoted to the position of Administrative Assistant and Office Manager.
While invaluable in assisting the Senior Pastor and staff, she has also been
trained in Biblical Counseling and is a key person in ministering to women
in the Church.
Pam Brown
- Secretary
In January of 2007, Shawnee Hills Baptist
Church hired a homemaker of 16 years to be secretary. She has been around
the Shawnee Hills family for quite a while and has loved the friends she has
made there. Although computers have changed quite a bit in 16 years, she is
learning to pick up what she has missed. Tami Cernetic, who was her
predecessor, left to be a homemaker, upon having her first child. She is on
Pam’s speed-dial now.
